Anais Perrins is the sister of Aymeline. Aymeline was keeping her relationship to the Perrin family secret until Anais decided to use the Perrin last name to help her own career.
Anias’ 12″ sculpt is a sized-down version of the 16″ Open Mouth AvantGarde sculpt, which was also used for Saskia Tate in the FR:16 line. There was a 16″ Anais sculpt in the FR:16 line, but that is not the sculpt that was sized down to make the 12″ Anais Perrin.
Similarly, Aymeline Perrin is the 12″ sized-down sculpt of the 16″ Closed Mouth Avantgarde sculpt, also used as Freya Mossimo in the FR:16 line.
When her sister Aymeline first entered the modeling industry, Anais thought it was cliché. The society set was filled with people with famous last names-- and those like Aymeline who dropped hers professionally, but still had the connections to go into fashion, modeling or influencing.
Anais wanted nothing to do with that. She was always a bit more rock-and-roll—a free spirit who loved counter-culture and being contrarian. After attending an elite boarding school in Switzerland, she charted her own path. She photographed alternative bands, mixed high-end couture pieces with fast-fashion and hung out at cool underground clubs throughout Europe.
While she didn’t mean to be an influencer, her following grew organically—she was authentic and she was cool. But a trust fund doesn’t stretch as far these days as it used to, and Anais knew she had to do something else. Given who she was and the heft of her family, she consistently received offers from major fashion houses, luxury brands and more to get involved.
Finally, she gave in.
When Anais told her sister that she was following in her runway footsteps, Aymeline was shocked. Then Anais dropped the bomb. “Just so you know, I will be using our last name…you can add it if you want.”
Aymeline was frustrated. She wanted to try to make her own way—as much as one could when everyone knew who your family was. But her sister Anais figured she would lean into it. Their cousins were very successful in fashion and cosmetics, and that meant the Perrin name could fetch an extra premium…
