Fashion Royalty Bodies

  • FR1 (2001/2002) – The first body used in the line; you can easy spot these as the arms have no articulation and the hip joints can only move forwards and backwards.
  • FRA (2005) – Articulation in the elbow and the mid-upper arm was added to the body in 2005
  • FR-Tall (2007) – The ladies got longer legs and lost the mid-upper arm ability to spin. The forearm sculpt was also updated, give the models longer arms as well. “Handspeak”, the ability to remove and change hands, was added to the body type in 2011.
  • FR2 (2010) – The body got a complete (nearly?) makeover with a brand new silhouette that we now know and love.
  • FR2013 (2013) – The FR2 had a change to the knee joints in 2013 resulting in the FR2013 body, and became explodable in 2014.
  • FR6.0 (2017) – The sixth iteration of the Fashion Royalty body simply removed the waist joint.

FR6.0

  • The FR6.0 body is the 6th iteration of the Fashion Royalty Body.
  • It shares the same silhouette as the FR2013 and FR2 bodies, but the waist joint was removed.
  • This body can be fully taken apart (explodable)
  • This body has the same feet as the NuFace 2.0 and 3.0 bodies.
  • Despite being shaped slightly different, it is compatible in size with the Metoer body and can share shoes.

FR2013 (FR 5.0)

  • The FR2013 body shares the same silhouette with the FR2 body but the knee joints were changed.
  • In 2014, the FR2013 body was given the ability to fully pull apart the body (explodable), starting with the 2014 FR “Urban Safari” Collection.
  • Elusive Creature Natalia Fatale and High Visibility Agnes Von Weiss doll were the first to ship with this feature.
  • This body has the same feet as the NuFace 2.0 and 3.0 bodies.
  • Despite being shaped slightly different, it is compatible in size with the Metoer body and can share shoes.

FR2 [ FR: Squared] (FR 4.0)

  • The FR2 [FR: Squared] body was the biggest change to the Fashion Royalty silhouette yet.
  • The only differences between the FR2 and FR2013 bodies is the knee joint and fact that most FR2013 bodies are explodable
  • The FR2 line ran alongside the regular FR line and the FR-Tall body with Handspeak for a few years.
  • This body can share shoes with the NF2.0 and NF3.0 bodies and the Meteor body.
  • This body came in Cream, Japan, FR White and Light Honey only.

FR-Tall (FR 3.0)

  • The FR Tall body debuted in 2007.
  • The legs and arms were elongated while removing the upper arm articulation of the previous FRA body.
  • The FR Tall body received “Handspeak” in 2011. This is the ability for the collector to remove and replace the doll’s hands.
  • The feet on this body are smaller than the FR2, FR2013 and FR6.0 feet.

FRA (FR 2.0)

  • The FRA body added arm (elbow and upper arm rotation) and hip articulation (ball joint) to the FR1 body in 2005

FR1

  • The FR1 body was the first Fashion Royalty body as part of the Premier 2001/2002 collection.
  • The arms were not articulated.
  • The hip joint had much more limited range of motion than FRA and onwards.
